I’m nearly done with my first semester of JR year. One and a half of years of school left and then everything changes. JR year so far has been harder then any classes I had in freshmen year and my sophomore year. Yes school is challenging a period i understand school is about work but what we don’t understand is that all this work that we get is all for our own good. High School isn't just about you or to have fun, high school is to prepare ourselves for our own future. High school for me when I entered as freshmen was very easy. But as the years went by nothing form freshmen year can be compared to JR year. JR year is more challenging than any year in high school and only know I understand why everyone around me told me that from all the years in high school JR was going to be a pain in the but. I treat high school like if it was my home. High school doesn't have much of a difference as your home why because you do work you study whether if it’s for tests or if it is to remember a food ingredient’s but I know that all this is going to benefit me for the real thing. In school or at home there’s always going to be a guardian looking after you guiding you to the right path. The wait for me is exciting I can already see myself with a high school diploma ready to enter to a university. Once I leave high school i will always thank everyone that helped me. Most of all I will thank everyone that had patience for me and guided me through the right path. My motto is “to follow the yellow side walk, and they will guide you to your destiny”
A new day started for me and by far it has been great. English is one of my most challenging classes I have here in Lindsay High School. Coming from a family that only speaks Spanish, English has always been my enemy. I know how to speak English, how to write it and read it but from this day on I still learn new interesting things in English. From the day I was born English has been my struggle, but I know I can achieve it. I know I can set a goal to reach my standards. My only motivation that I have is my parents. They have showed me the value of labor work. They showed me how to work in the fields picking oranges cherries, olives, etc. Since the first day I went to work they always told me that if I don’t have a career and don’t have a successful future of my own I was going to end up working in the fields winning earning about 18,000 dollars a year. Those words are never going to be forgotten, they will stay with me till I die. Those words are another motivation I have because I know I can do good, I know I can have a better future of my own and maybe one day I can have a family of my own and I can tell my own kids the same word my parents told me, to never give up because life is full of challenges. This is how life is we make mistakes and we start all over again we learn form the mistake we do that's how we move on that's how life is.
